Jazz Celebrates first ever Customer-Obsessed Day across Pakistan

Islamabad, 11 May, 2017: Jazz, Pakistan number 1 digital company, kick-started its customer-centric agenda by taking to the streets to celebrate its first customer-obsessed day (COD). Over 3000 Jazz employees including the company’s leadership team left their offices and met customers in markets and public spaces across Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Multan. The teams thanked their subscribers for their loyalty and recorded their suggestions and feedback. High-end Jazz X smartphones and free talk time were given to respondents who participated in a survey.

Leading from the front, JAZZ’s CEO Aamir Ibrahim, spent a few hours meeting customers in Islamabad said “We pride ourselves for being customer-obsessed company and thank our family of over 53 Million customers. This COD is a celebration of and a testament to this commitment. We need to know what our customers want and need for Jazz and its employees to serve them better every single day. As the CEO it was great to revisit the sales experience and see what the incredibly hardworking teams at JAZZ experience every single day and thank them for a job well done.”

To extend the reach and address more customer queries the Jazz management team also held digital sessions via Jazz’s Official Facebook page. The COD marks a new chapter in Jazz’s legacy of being a customer-centric company.

Jazz inaugurates its state-of-the-art Network Operations Center

Lahore – 10 March, 2017: In line with its commitment to going digital, Jazz inaugurated its state-of-the-art Network Operations Center (NOC), which will utilize IBM and Dell EMC solutions to provide optimal network quality, and unique customer experience, while also improving overall operational performance.

The facility provides 24/7×365 network surveillance across Fault Management, Real-time Performance Management, Change Management, Access Management, and Customer Support for Jazz’s fixed and wireless businesses.

Speaking at the inauguration, Hassan Ali – Head of NOC – Jazz, said, “By investing on a world-class NOC, our aim is to build a more efficient and competitive organization, which will provide unparalleled customer experience in today’s fast paced world.”

This latest NOC is optimally managed to support speedy customer facilitation for quicker complaint resolution and support. This is also made possible through complete automation allowing for proactive monitoring and management of end to end network and services layer.
Jazz Rising Stars T20 Cup Concludes

Lahore, 6th October, 2016: Jazz Rising Stars T20 Cup, organized in partnership with Lahore Qalandars, recently concluded with Faisalabad Rising Stars coming out on top.

The tournament saw a total of eight teams participating divided into two groups. Each group comprised of four teams with 16 players each, where the top team from each group battled it out in the final.

The final was played between Lahore Rising Stars (LRS) and Faisalabad Rising Stars (FRS). Batting first, LRS could only manage a total of 44 in 11.5 overs. In reply, FRS managed to achieve the target in 7.3 overs with the loss of just a single wicket.

FRS were then handed over the trophy by Pakistan Cricket Board executive committee’s chairman Najam Sethi, and Shahbaz Maqsood Khan along with prize money worth PKR 200,000/- ; LRS walked away with PKR 100,000/-. LRS’ Usman Qadir and FRS’ Saad Ullah won the best bowler and batsman award, respectively, with a cash prize of PKR 50,000/- each.

Speaking about this initiative for the youth, Asif Aziz, CCO – Mobilink said: “The Jazz Rising Star T20 Cup is the first-ever talent hunt in the game of cricket held on such a magnitude across Punjab. Through this competition, not only have we found the most gifted players of the game, but Pakistanis have also witnessed some exciting cricket in the past few days.”

To ensure the young cricketers get the desired support throughout the tournament, entry to all the matches at Qaddafi Stadium was free of cost, while a cash prizes of PKR 10,000 were given to spectators who were able to catch the cricket ball. Four lucky spectators also won brand new Jazz X handsets through a lucky draw.

Speaking at the tournament’s closing ceremony, Shahbaz Maqsood Khan, Director Marketing – Mobilink stated, “This has been a riveting journey for us all. First, more than 110,000 young players showed up at the selection camps run throughout Punjab, and then the tournament itself generated a lot of buzz amongst cricket enthusiasts throughout the country.”

“Since the re-launch of Jazz, our aim has been to facilitate nation’s youth in reaching their goals; may it be sports, education or their professional careers. Our partnership with Lahore Qalandars provided us an opportunity to ensure we shed light on young cricketers who have the mettle and skillset to become the next international stars. And after seeing some of the performances in this tournament, I am certain we shall be hearing a lot about certain players in the coming months and years.”

The entire selection procedure and the resulting tournament was part of Jazz Rising Stars – a one of its kind initiative aimed at finding hidden cricketing talent, provide them a platform to showcase their skills and equip them with the right resources to shine.

The move was made in line with Jazz’s ‘Dunya Ko Bataa Do’ – a pledge undertaken to provide the right platforms and opportunities to Pakistani youth for them to achieve success.

Even though the Jazz Rising Stars T20 Cup has concluded, the Jazz Rising Stars journey has just began. Jazz, in consultation with Lahore Qalandars, will be announcing the names of two players from the Jazz Rising Stars T20 Cup who will have the honor of representing Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League 2017.

Apart from this, 30 short-listed players, chosen from the tournament itself, will be awarded a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel all the way to Australia to engage with and learn from the current reigning Big Bash League Champions, the Sydney Thunders.
More than 110,000 Young Pakistanis Participate in Jazz Rising Stars

‘Dunya Ko Bataa Do’ is a pledge that Jazz has taken to provide the right platforms and opportunities to the Pakistani youth for them to achieve success. With this quest, Jazz moves forward to create the next generation of cricketing stars for Pakistan. After collaborating in the inaugural edition of the successful Pakistan Super League, Jazz and Lahore Qalandars present Jazz Rising Stars – a one of its kind initiative which aims to find the hidden cricketing talent, provide them a platform and equip them with the right resources to shine.

As part of the initiative, cricket trial camps were set up in eight districts of Punjab where Aaqib Javed and Mudassar Nazar selected the best cricket talent for each district. A total of 111,553 contestants participated in the trials. Players from each district have been shortlisted to represent their districts in Jazz Rising Stars T20 Cup. The tournament will begin at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on September 24, 2016 with the final to be held on October 1, 2016.

While the tournament will be televised on Geo Super in its entirety, for live spectators entry would be free of cost. Four lucky spectators per day will leave the stadium with a brand new Jazz X handset courtesy of a lucky draw. For those who feel this still is not enough, there is an additional incentive that should they take a catch, they will be going home with a cash prize of PKR 10,000/- as well.

Select players will qualify for the next phase of the competition based off their performance in the Jazz Rising Stars T20 Cup in Gaddafi Stadium. These players will be afforded the once in a lifetime opportunity to travel all the way to Australia to engage with and learn from the current reigning Big Bash League Champions 2016, the Sydney Thunders. The culmination of the Jazz Rising Stars will see us select the final two, one batsman and one bowler, to represent the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League 2017.
